Lateral flow test is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for detection anti-Brucella spp. antibodies in blood, serum, plasma, and milk of various animal species, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, moose, deer, roe deer, wild boars, hares, foxes, wolves, and other animal species susceptible to brucellosis. Specimen: milk, serum or whole blood. Assay time: 5-10 min.

The test device has a test window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough detection of anti-Brucella antibodies in the sample, a visible T band will appear. The C band should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result.
