Recombinant protein A/G hybrid protein combine properties of both Protein A and Protein G in terms of IgG binding activities, while cell wall binding and albumin binding regions have been genetically removed to ensure the maximum specificities in IgG binding. C-terminal Cys residual allows to conjugate recombinant A/G fusion with synthetic functional groups under physiological conditions.
Protein A/G binds to all subclasses of human and mouse IgG, making it helpful for purifying polyclonal or monoclonal IgG antibodies and ideal reagent to substitute the secondary antibodies in immunoassays.
